Bogardus Plaza is home to New York City's only hand-wound public clock, a historic mechanical timepiece dating back to the early 1900s. Every six days, the clock must be wound entirely by hand, just as it has been for generations. Now, you can become part of that tradition.

Location: Bogardus Plaza (Hudson Street between Reade and Chambers Streets, Tribeca)
Duration: Approximately 20 minutes
Donation: $250 (tax-deductible) Your booking is a tax-deductible donation to Friends of Bogardus Plaza, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Every dollar supports the ongoing care, maintenance, and free public programming at Bogardus Plaza, including the preservation of the clock.
Minimum Age: 12+ (the clock can be quite heavy)
Availability: Sessions are extremely limited and open one month in advance.

Clock Master experiences are available by request. Since the clock only needs to be wound once every six days, we can accommodate one experience per available day. Fill out the form with your preferred date(s) and time(s), and we’ll reach out by email to confirm availability and schedule your 20-minute experience.
Refund Policy
Your booking is a tax-deductible donation that directly supports Friends of Bogardus Plaza and its mission. For that reason, donations are non-refundable. If your plans change, we're happy to reschedule your experience with at least 24 hours' notice.
